The Ohio Men’s Choral Festival was the brain child of Mike Miller who had the idea to get men together and sing arrangements for men’s voices. With the help of Weldon Hostetler and Franklin Miller the idea took off! The 2018 festival was the first event of what has become an annual event that many look forward to every year.

Mike & Krista Miller

Mike loves music and has been singing in choirs and men’s groups basically since he was old enough to carry a tune. He’s taught music as a school teacher and more lately to his church. It was his idea to start the Ohio Men’s Choral Festival and the 2018 event was the first. It was a big success and everyone wanted to do it again. Mike along with his wife Krista help to organize the event and is the contact person for lodging and general questions.

Weldon & Joanna Hostetler

Organizers/Tech

Weldon and his wife Joanna have been involved in music, specifically choral music for years. As one of the organizers and committee members of Minerva Community Choir they have had lots of experience planning and singing in large choirs. When Mike Miller presented the idea of the Ohio Men’s Choral Festival to Weldon he jumped on board. Weldon handles the website, signups, finances and technical aspects of OMCF. Joanna, along with Krista and other friends makes the food happen which she is an expert at.

Franklin Miller

Conductor

For over ten years, Franklin’s family lived and served at the Nathaniel orphanage in Suceava, Romania. Music was a significant part of Romanian life, and Franklin grew to love and appreciate music during his time in Romania. After returning to the U.S. in 2006, Franklin and his sister began Minerva Community Choir which he has conducted since it’s beginning. Franklin graduated in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Music from Kent State University. He and his wife, Brittany, and fledgling daughter Willow live in Holmes Co. Ohio where he teaches music at Legacy Christian School. He also serves as an instructor at Shenandoah Christian Music Camps during the summer.
